If you are a bachelor or a bachelorette living alone, owning a puppy is a great solution to alleviate your feelings of loneliness and boredom when you’re inside the house. We lead such busy and hectic work schedules throughout the day, and the least thing that we’d want to feel inside our home is more stress, pressure, and house chores.

I have found this to be true in essence since a puppy that is properly potty trained makes me feel a tad bit better after such a long stressful day at work. It is such a rewarding feeling knowing that your cutie patootie puppy was able to do his business at his designated toilet area even when you weren’t at home the whole day.

 There is a rather absurd misconception about the house pet training process and potty training. True enough, potty training a puppy isn’t an easy task for both new and old puppy owners. However, this does not mean that it’s a hard task to accomplish.

Teaching and training your puppy where his toilet area is might be a grueling task for most of us. But keep in mind that puppies are like babies. They wouldn’t understand what you’re telling them if you shout or scream at them.

    This is also true among puppies. One effective way of avoiding accident in the house is to talk to your puppies using short and simple phrases. Do not go Einstein on them! Use the words “pee” and “poop” all you want for as long as your puppies know what they mean.

    You can show them the meaning of these two words when you’re beside them while they’re doing their pee and poop business. Puppies are witty so they will easily get the word pee when you constantly utter the word while they’re taking a leak. The same is true when they’re doing the number two.

    Puppy house training isn’t hard as long as you keep your words and commands short and simple. They will automatically follow your command when you use the right tone, voice, and words during the entire potty training process.
     

  • TRAINING TIP#3- PUPPIES URINE MARKING INSIDE THE HOUSE IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF POTTY TRAINING

    If you notice that your puppy is raising his hind legs against the legs of your dining table, or if he’s attempting to raise his legs inside your shopping bag full of new clothes and makeup, this just means that he’s trying to mark his territory.

    This can be a little bit of a problem, especially when you carry your puppy with you to your friend’s house. This is a natural thing which puppies do to assume dominance over things which are special to them.

    Nevertheless, urinating on your furniture or inside other people’s house can be a problem. The ideal potty training technique when it comes to this dilemma is to watch what your dog is doing when he’s not inside his crate.

    If you feel like he’s going to pee to assume and mark his territory, catch his attention by calling his or her name. Clapping your hands or throwing a soft dog toy at his direction will distract him from taking a pee on your beloved furniture.

    Placing newspapers on the entire floor space of the house is an exaggeration. Since your puppy will be inside their crate when you’re too busy to take care of them or play with them, strategically plan on newspaper placement inside your house.

    Put potty training papers or even plain old newspapers on areas where you’d usually find their pee or feces. In this way, when you free them out of their puppy crate and they feel that urge to pee or poop, they would easily smell and see that spot.

    Make sure you paper proof the surrounding area just to be sure that you don’t do a lot of cleaning up after. Move the newspaper away from where they would usually pee or poop. The newspaper would send the message across to your puppy that his toilet area is on top of newspapers.

    It might take you days or even months to have your puppy potty trained, but it will be very rewarding once you finally get rid of the newspaper potty training technique and your puppy had finally learned to do his elimination process at a designated area inside the house or even outdoors.

    The most efficient and easiest way of how to potty train a puppy is to reward him with treats for a job well done. Nothing beats the reward technique. Showing your puppies that you appreciate their efforts in pleasing you will be a sort of motivation for them to take a leak or do their number two on the designated toilet area.

    Punishing your puppy by hitting them because he accidentally caused damage on your carpeted floor is a bad and rather inhumane dog training technique. The only thing which they appreciate is attention and love. If you treat them properly and reward them with treats they will more likely become obedient and more respectful to your rules when it comes to potty training.

Your puppy’s behavior in potty training will reflect on how well you executed your potty training technique. Be sure to be just and kind to your puppy when it comes to potty training. Kindness and love is the best way to your puppy’s heart.
